2018 Eureka Prize Finalist

I feel privileged and excited that our ANU “Difficult Bird Research Team” has been chosen as one of the Australian Museum 2018 Eureka Prize Finalists in the Environmental Research Award,  together with the amazing Mountain Pygmy Possum and RE100 hydro energy storage teams.

It is great to be acknowledged for all the work we do to transform the fate of critically endangered birds, through innovative science, advancing technology such as Wildlife Drones, and practical action and collaboration with the broader community such as our NSW Environmental Trust $1m Swift Parrot habitat conservation project.

I am also looking forward to being among some of Australia’s finest scientists, researchers, educators and communicators at the upcoming awards night in Sydney!
